Hemos conseguido dos prensas tipográficas antiguas en perfecto estado de funcionamiento: la «Original Heidelberger Tiegel» motorizada (fabricada en 1969 por Heidelberg Schnellpressen AG) y la «Boston Pedal Tiegel» accionada por pedales (fabricada en 1901 por Emil Kahle Maschinenfabrik). Hemos captado el sonido de estas dos máquinas de impresión únicas en estéreo a 192 kHz desde diferentes ángulos utilizando diversos micrófonos (Sennheiser MKH 8040 ORTF, Neumann TLM 103 ORTF y Barcus Berry Stereo Contact Mic). Las 15 grabaciones tienen una duración media de 4 minutos cada una e incluyen el estado de reposo, el funcionamiento, la parada y diferentes velocidades de funcionamiento.

Las prensas tipográficas cuentan con una rica historia que se remonta a principios del siglo XV, cuando Johannes Gutenberg introdujo en Europa la impresión con tipos móviles. Estas extraordinarias máquinas revolucionaron la industria de la imprenta, permitiendo la producción en masa de libros, periódicos y otros materiales impresos. Sin embargo, más allá de sus capacidades de impresión, las prensas tipográficas también poseen una cualidad auditiva única: Los sonidos característicos que producen los movimientos mecánicos de la imprenta, como el golpeteo rítmico de los tipos metálicos y el silbido de los rodillos de tinta, ofrecen un tesoro de posibilidades sonoras. Al grabar y manipular estos sonidos de imprenta tipográfica, los diseñadores de sonido pueden incorporarlos a diversos proyectos creativos, añadiendo un toque auténtico y nostálgico a sus trabajos. Esta colección de sonidos de imprenta tipográfica vintage complementa a la perfección nuestra biblioteca«BIG MACHINES».

Esta biblioteca es una ganga. Tiene un precio estupendo teniendo en cuenta la cantidad y la originalidad del contenido. La he utilizado para diseñar algunos efectos de sonido de transformación de mechas. Perfecta 🙂
